Congratulations on yet another excellent podcast. It has equipped me with more to say to parents who are frightened of the MMR vaccine. The whole MMR vaccination situation is a good example of the power we have. Things we say can cause fears that spread like forest fires and are just as difficult to put out.
I hope that you are raising enough in subscriptions to cover the costs of the podcasts. Have you considered having different levels of membership at different subscription rates? Bronze membership gives the normal (and superb) service. Silver members get to hear Mike sing the introduction melody for the podcast. Gold members get the out-takes where you guys totally lose it and start hurling abuse at each other.

I have been using the low dose colchicine method since you first discussed it in an earlier podcast and I find much fewer patients have side effects. But I am never quite sure about the dosing regime. I tend to give 500mcg every 12h . Do you think this is sufficient or would go go even lower?
Love the podcast and I wait for every new edition as eagerly as I used to wait for the new edition of MAD Magazine when I was a teenager, make of that what you will.

Thanks for giving us a paper trail for the Autism and vaccine issue. I find it hard to believe that there is so much mistrust of vaccines (we have them and sanitation to thank for our extended lives). Another thought I've heard was that some vaccines are given near the time the diagnosis of autism and ASD are diagnosed so people, always looking for the reason (like that little extra pie caused that blood sugar of 250), associate the two together when really, the autism is probably or perhaps there from birth.
For the 100th episode, perhaps the history of medicine and how it's developed, maybe into a business... or something as simple (or really difficult) as a baby ASA. You could ask the cake TV shows to make you a special cake like they did for the series "Lost."

Great podcast you two I am a new grad and these are essential to keep me informed of all that is going on in the field of EBM.
I have heard some interesting stuff about the authors, and the funding source of the colchicine study and their involvement in URL pharma, the maker of the new low dose colchicine http://www.colcrys.com.
There was an article in the New England journal of medicine about this by Kesselheim and Solomon, I was hoping to get your opinions on this matter.
