Osteoarthritis and NSAIDs
Would you strongly encourage an elderly patient to take a PPI if prescribing a NSAID for OA? Was this accounted for in the cohort trial?
H.pylori testing in this situation
Wondering what you think about H.pylori testing for patients you are putting on NSAIDs for OA. Would you test everyone? Just patients with an ulcer history who haven't had eradication previously?
If it is recommended, when would/should it be done (pre-prescribing? after you have determined that the NSAID is actually beneficial?)
