codeine
Hi
Have there been any studies looking at using small doses of codeine (5mg) for cough suppression in older children/adults, or is this just anecdotal?
Thanks.
Snake oil
So you found a study in the Journal of Alternative Medicine that was poorly designed, had many flaws and still showed the result that everybody expected it to show. What a tremendous surprise. I really didn't see that one coming.
I suppose next week you are going to tell us that homeopathy doesn't work or that bears defaecate in areas wih lots of trees...
Or am I just being cynical?

pholcidine
Hello, interesting podcast on cough suppressants.
What is the evidence surrounding the use of pholcidine as a cough suppressant? I've been told that it's meant to be slightly more effective but have never found this in any texts/evidence.
Cheers
