Dear Mike and James,
Dear Mike and James, congratulations on the 100th episode! I thank you for the many hours of funny, unbiased, current, patient-centered, and useful evidence you've shared. I have learned a great deal from you over the past two and a half years. Not only about treating specific diseases, but also an unusual and very refreshing way of thinking about evidence and therapy. Although probably none of my patients has ever heard of you, I believe they have been getting the greatest benefit from your podcast and would thank you too.
Eagerly waiting for the 200th episode (and all those in between),
Daniel [Family Doctor, Oeiras - Portugal]
Thanks for reviewing your key
Thanks for reviewing your key points. I hope you keep the new intro/exit music, that's pretty cool. I appreciate all of the hard work that you two are doing. It's truly impressive the amount of knowledge the both of you have and are sharing with us. Keep up the good work!
It seems a good basic
It seems a good basic principle to wait about 3 years before prescribing a new drug, something that has come up before on podcasts. However, often a drug has been used in other countries prior to Canada - so if there was going to be a problem with it, would it not have shown up before being used here? Or are the added numbers of the North American market still likely to reveal a negative aspect not uncovered by use overseas?

Hi DocRock. Thanks for the positive comments - had fun making the new intro - not sure from a copyright perspective if we could make it our intro all the time - one is supposedly allowed to use clips for parody/humour/education which was the purpose of the 100th episode. If anyone else likes it or knows anything else about their use please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Mike and James.
I hope to present to my group the idea of sharing with our patients the absolute reduction in risk of using lipitor. In several podcasts you have mentioned a 20-25% reductuion in risk for any given risk caluclation. My group will challange me on this. Can you cite any references to support this?
Thanks,
Pol Morton
